A Licensed Professional Here to Guide You
My name is Katie Davidson and I work with adults struggling with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, addiction, and trauma and loss. I have had the privilege of working in a variety of settings to include the mental health tower of Dallas County Jail, the trauma department at Parkland Hospital, and outpatient treatment at Innovation360. These experiences and working with incredible clinicians along the way have lead to invaluable knowledge and wisdom, allowing me to provide a healing space for those in need.
I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from The University of Oklahoma and my master's degree in psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I am a licensed chemical dependency counselor with the Texas Department of State Health Services and a licensed psychological associate with the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists. I received a certificate in traumatic stress studies from The Trauma Center at Justice Resource Institute and recently became a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with the International Association of Trauma Professionals. After becoming a registered yoga teacher, I completed the requirements to be a certified teacher of Yoga for 12 Step Recovery. In addition to 12 step yoga training, I have engaged in multiple trainings for trauma informed yoga.
Outside of therapy sessions, I am quite adventurous and fun-loving. I absolutely love playing and having fun! When I'm not in a session, I am probably singing or dancing wherever I am... in the kitchen, the bathroom, down the hall, at the gas station. My family is my highest priority and getting to go on adventures with them is the absolute best. Hiking, traveling, rock climbing, and playing board games are just a few of our favorite family activities. Oh, and before I forget, one of the most important things about me is that I LOVE coffee (hence the picture).
